This is priceless, Debra. The photos are so great, but your captions make them extraordinary. And, I love the new theme, too. What made you decide to change?
I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes, Andra. I had fun putting the post together. As for the theme, I just needed a change. I will probably change the header photo from time to time, but while I’m focusing so many of my recent posts on Los Angeles this seemed to fit. I don’t know that themes and header photos do much for attracting visitors, but occasionally I just want it to look a bit refreshed for my own sake! LOL!
Great quotes . . . especially Bob Marley’s! 😎
Somedays we really need to quote a little Bob Marley, I agree! 🙂
Don’t you love these birds when they poop on your car after you cleaned it. Bwahahaha 😆 Seriously, I like them a lot. Very representation of California, they are.
Awesome inspirational quotes!
DEBRA, YOU ARE MY 10,000th LIKER!!! You win one grain of sugar. Shall I deliver it to you, please provide your address?
Wow! I’m your 10,000th liker, huh? One grain of sugar–now that’s special! 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes. I really enjoyed finding some that seemed to fit the birds in all of their tenacity, digging through the rubbish. Ha!
Beautiful!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes, Rexlin! Thank you for stopping by. 🙂
Love the quotes that go with the photos… great share…
Thank you, Rob. I enjoy quotes, and only regret that I so rarely memorize them! The birds are always so much fun to watch–I know you understand that! 🙂
what good fun!
The gulls were having such a good time. And they were also making such a mess from the trash receptacles! LOL! I’m glad you enjoyed the photos and quotes. 🙂
You couldn’t have known, but these quotes came at the exact moment I needed to read them. Thank you!
It makes me very happy to think that the few quotes I shared came at a good time, Tilly! I think there is a reason we are all here sharing and having fun with each other, and maybe sometimes a little support also gets transferred, even if we don’t know precisely how! oxo
I think you are right 🙂
Brilliant, Debra! That’s just put a great big grin on my face. 🙂 Super photos.
Thank you, my friend. I had a lot of fun with those silly gulls! I enjoyed finding the quotes, too! I’m so glad you enjoyed them. 🙂
. . . and now, I AM breathing lighter! What an uplifting post, with quotes that I will, well, I will quote. Well done, Debra, and thank you.
I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes, Penny! Sometimes I get tired of hearing my own voice! LOL! This worked to break that up a bit. 🙂 I do hope the weekend provided an opportunity to recalibrate a little bit, and then here we are beginning another week! I hope this is a good week for you and yours. oxo
You know how I love quotes! Hard to pick my fave in those you’ve shared here. Feeling back on track again and reminders like these are priceless. (Like the new theme banner too.)
Occasionally quotes are just a nice way to rest from hearing me go on and on, Ellen! 🙂 Hahaha! I’m glad you’re feeling back on track. I’m really pleased to know that. 🙂
There are some great quotes here. I love the one by Amelia Earhart. It’s just so sad that not only did she disappear but that no one has been able to find her final resting place. Such a tragedy from someone who was well ahead of their time xx
I agree with you about Amelia Earhart being a tragic mystery. It’s hard to believe the mystery of her death has never been discovered. I think we’re so accustomed to having answers to everything. She was such a pioneer, and in truth, I can’t say that I know that much about her. But I loved the quote and it reminds me of how extraordinarily brave and adventurous she was. It’s funny how just using a little quote has us both thinking of her this many decades after her death. That’s kind of special, I think! 🙂
Brilliant post… as always. This one was particularly creative. Well done!
I’m glad you enjoyed the birds and the quotes, Thea! It was fun putting it together! 🙂
A great, smile-inducing post, Debra, the perfect thing to bring a weekend to a close. A little something to think about and just enough whimsy to keep anyone from getting lost in thought. I can’t think of a better way to prepare for the next week. Thanks! 🙂
I’m glad you enjoyed the gulls and the quotes, John. Once in awhile I need a break from listening to myself. LOL! The birds gave me that opportunity! 🙂 I hope you’re feeling “ready” for a new week! Mondays are sometimes a challenge!
I love the way you tell the story of this seagull my friend, you brightened my morning 😀
Cheers
Choc Chip Uru
Thank you so much, CCU. I really was quite fascinated watching those seagulls figure out how to get the goods! 🙂 I was very amused! oxo
Dear Debra, those quotes so fit the photographs and also my life and the learning I’ve done as I’ve lived it. Thank you “a bushel and a peck” for these inspiring quotations. The Amelia Earhart one just sums up where I am right now. Peace.
I will think of you with the Earhart quote, Dee! That is a marvelous and inspiring quote. I so often wish I had better memory and recall for these quotes, but I had a thought I might take one or two and have them made into greeting cards to simply enjoy! If I do follow through, I will send you one! 🙂
Dear Debra, if you do that, I’d so love to receive one from you! What a joy to look forward to! Peace.
I never knew that gulls were so eloquent – great pictures!
The pictures are so animated and your quotes are the perfect captions. I love the bird watching the two battle it out hoping a morsel will fall it’s way.
Such fun… i remember my session with these birds. 🙂
