    • I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes, Andra. I had fun putting the post together. As for the theme, I just needed a change. I will probably change the header photo from time to time, but while I’m focusing so many of my recent posts on Los Angeles this seemed to fit. I don’t know that themes and header photos do much for attracting visitors, but occasionally I just want it to look a bit refreshed for my own sake! LOL!

  1. Don’t you love these birds when they poop on your car after you cleaned it. Bwahahaha 😆 Seriously, I like them a lot. Very representation of California, they are.
    Awesome inspirational quotes!
DEBRA, YOU ARE MY 10,000th LIKER!!! You win one grain of sugar. Shall I deliver it to you, please provide your address?

    • Wow! I’m your 10,000th liker, huh? One grain of sugar–now that’s special! 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes. I really enjoyed finding some that seemed to fit the birds in all of their tenacity, digging through the rubbish. Ha!

    • I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes, Penny! Sometimes I get tired of hearing my own voice! LOL! This worked to break that up a bit. 🙂 I do hope the weekend provided an opportunity to recalibrate a little bit, and then here we are beginning another week! I hope this is a good week for you and yours. oxo

  2. You know how I love quotes! Hard to pick my fave in those you’ve shared here. Feeling back on track again and reminders like these are priceless. (Like the new theme banner too.)

  3. There are some great quotes here. I love the one by Amelia Earhart. It’s just so sad that not only did she disappear but that no one has been able to find her final resting place. Such a tragedy from someone who was well ahead of their time xx

    • I agree with you about Amelia Earhart being a tragic mystery. It’s hard to believe the mystery of her death has never been discovered. I think we’re so accustomed to having answers to everything. She was such a pioneer, and in truth, I can’t say that I know that much about her. But I loved the quote and it reminds me of how extraordinarily brave and adventurous she was. It’s funny how just using a little quote has us both thinking of her this many decades after her death. That’s kind of special, I think! 🙂

  4. A great, smile-inducing post, Debra, the perfect thing to bring a weekend to a close. A little something to think about and just enough whimsy to keep anyone from getting lost in thought. I can’t think of a better way to prepare for the next week. Thanks! 🙂

    • I’m glad you enjoyed the gulls and the quotes, John. Once in awhile I need a break from listening to myself. LOL! The birds gave me that opportunity! 🙂 I hope you’re feeling “ready” for a new week! Mondays are sometimes a challenge!

  5. Dear Debra, those quotes so fit the photographs and also my life and the learning I’ve done as I’ve lived it. Thank you “a bushel and a peck” for these inspiring quotations. The Amelia Earhart one just sums up where I am right now. Peace.

    • I will think of you with the Earhart quote, Dee! That is a marvelous and inspiring quote. I so often wish I had better memory and recall for these quotes, but I had a thought I might take one or two and have them made into greeting cards to simply enjoy! If I do follow through, I will send you one! 🙂
